WHY SHOULD I GET A SECOND US PASSPORT !?

Are you a US citizen and able to provide a business reason / business support letter – to evidence a frequent business travel need?

If yes, then why not consider applying for a second US passport. We have listed below some of the many advantages of holding a second US passport.

MY ONLY PASSPORT IS WITH AN EMBASSY FOR VISA PROCESSING AND I NEED TO TRAVEL TO A VISA EXEMPT / VISA ON ARRIVAL COUNTRY DESTINATION !!
In many situations, a traveller will submit their only original passport to an Embassy for visa processing but during this time is also required to make other travel to a foreign destination. This can be frustrating and can also have financial implications (i.e. not being able to make an important business meeting).
MY ONLY PASSPORT HAS AN IRANIAN ENTRY STAMP AND I NEED TO TRAVEL TO THE USA !!
The issue of conflicting country entry stamps is becoming more and more prominent in the modern world. Not only does this issue present concerns with banned travel to the US for those holding an entry stamp to Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. There is also some restrictions for travellers holding an Israeli stamp attempting to travel to Arab / Middle Eastern states.
I AM ALWAYS TRAVELLING AND MY PASSPORT IS GETTING FILLED UP VERY FAST; I HAVE NO MORE SPACE IN MY PASSPORT FOR ENTRY STAMPS !!
If your occupation requires that you travel extensively or on a repeated basis, a passport can easily run out of pages for destination country entry/exit stamps. Again this can have financial implications for a business, especially if all travel is preplanned months in advance.
I AM A PILOT / I WORK ON AN OIL RIG; MY JOB REQUIRES ME TO HOLD TWO PASSPORTS !!
Depending on the type of job you do for a living, may require, or even mandate, the need for a second passport. Your employer may request that to take up employment with them, you require a second US passport. This is typically seen in pilot / cabin crew / rig worker roles.
I LIVE / RESIDE ABROAD IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY BUT WOULD LIKE TO KEEP A SPARE PASSPORT IN THE US FOR SAFEKEEPING !!
If as part of your job you live abroad (for example you are on a secondement), you may wish to keep a second passport in the US for safekeeping. Many foreign workers do opt with this approach as it can provide a potential solution to a lost or stolen passport, which otherwise can be a lengthy process to replace whilst abroad.
